Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy and operations of the organization. He/She will provide financial insights, guide decision-making, and ensure financial stability and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide financial forecasts, budgets, and reports to support strategic planning.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and taxation activities.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial partners.
  • Assess and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead financial due diligence for potential investments and acquisitions.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations for business expansion and cost optimization.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant with ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualification; additional professional certifications are a plus.
  • MBA/MSc in Finance or Accounting is an added advantage
  • 10-15 years of progressive financial management experience in the FMCG/ Manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial financial role.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and taxation.
  • Proven track record of financial leadership and strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problems solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
