Crisis Rocks Rivers PDP over support for Atiku as Gov. Wike Reshuffles LGA Leadership.

The ongoing rift between Gov. Wike and Atku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of People’s Democratic Party PDP has taken a new dimension in Rivers State as Wike goes after Supports of Atiku Abubakar.

Its no longer news how the Federal law maker representing Bonny/Degema Federal Constituency at the National Assembly and a Former Rivers Governorship Aspirant, Hon. Farah Dagogo who is believed to be an ally of Atiku was arrested and Reminded in Prison for allegedly destroying Properties belonging to the state Government.

In another Development, Governor Wike on the 2nd of August, 2022 Sacked the Governing Council Chairman of Port Harcourt Polythenic, Senator Lee Maeba over alliance with his Supposed Political Enemy Atikku Abubakar according to Sources.

Gov.Wike, has again Sacked Rt. Hon Austin Opara and the former Governor of Rivers State Barr Celestine Omehia for attending a meeting with Atiku’s Supporters in the state.

According to an insider who spoke in a condition of Anonymity said the Governor is angry that they attended a meeting against his order.

“The Governor has dethroned Rt. Hon Austin Opara who is the leader of PDP in Port Harcourt City Local Government area and the Former Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Celestine Omehia as leaders of the Party in their LGA’s.

“Sir Celestine was who hails from Ikwerre LGA has been removed as the leader replacing him with the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Samuel Nwonosike while Sir Ken Chikere as the new PDP Leader in PHALGA. He Said.

More so, it was gathered that some Ward leaders were also replaced.
