Judge withdraws from suits filed by supporters of Magnus Abe against APC in Rivers State

A State High Court Judge handling the case between two sets of aggrieved All Progressives Congress, APC members in Rivers State has withdrawn from the case.

Justice I. R. Minikiri who was expected to deliver judgment on the two cases on the 15th and 23rd of this month hurriedly summoned all parties yesterday on the ground that a petition was written against her.

Justice Minikiri during the short proceeding informed the parties in the matter that following the petition against her she is returning the case files to the Chief Judge of Rivers State for possible re-assignment. Our Correspondent reports that the two sets of the aggrieved APC, Ogechi Ogwu-Edwin and Alaibo Soibibo and three others loyal to senator Magnus Abe faction of the All progressive congress Apc in Rivers state had instituted the suit against APC and the former APC Caretaker Committee Chairman in Rivers State Isaac Ogbogbula.

Recall that the judge on February 1st, 2022 said The claimants delayed their matter for over one month without effecting service, only to come yesterday 31st January, despite trying try his best to complete writing the judgment but no way, “I can’t kill myself for something that has no meaning” and the matter was Adjourned to 15th of February, 2022.
