Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc (NDEP) is Nigeria’s first integrated oil and gas investment company.
NDEP was incorporated on March 25, 1992 (as the Midas Drilling Fund) and assumed its current name in November 1996. The vision of the company’s founding fathers was to create a vehicle that would afford ordinary Nigerians the opportunity to participate in and benefit from the country’s oil and gas industry.

NDEP Plc is a company created by Nigerians to enable other Nigerians to access the oil and gas sector, and we take our responsibility very seriously. Sustainable practices and community relations are at the heart of our business model, not something that we do in our spare time. Our pioneer operations in Ogbele are a prime example of how our proudly Nigerian company works to improve the community as well as preserve the environment for future generations.
The company’s host communities are limited to the Ogbele Oil and Gas Field Project, an asset wholly owned by NDEP’s operating subsidiary NDPR.
The Ogbele Field Project is hosted by five communities located in Ahoda East and Abua Local Government Areas, both in Rivers State, in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc and its predominantly Nigerian shareholders genuinely care about the welfare of our host communities and the environment. We adhere to best practices, minimise any negative impact on the environment and promote active community participation in our oil and gas operations.
Inline with the companies community educational development program and the memorandum of understanding MoU agreement with the host communities.
THE MoU COMMUNITIES INCLUDE;

- Obumeze community
- Oshuigboko community
- Otari community
- Rumuekpe community
We will be conducting selection tests for our community Mou Scholarship programmes.
Those Eligible to Apply:
- Candidates must come from the above mentioned MoU communities.
- Under/ Post Graduate scholarship Students must be indigenes of the above listed host communities.
- Students must show proof from local Government.
- Post tertiary institution students must be in year 1 or year 2 as at February 2022.
Requirement for the Award.
- Student Admission letter.
- Evidence of Current School fees receipt.
- Students Identify Card.
- Evidence of Course Registration Form.
