A father of three identified as Alafuro Peterside was reportedly shot dead by a policeman yesterday at a popular bar along the Elekahia axis of Port Harcourt after an outing with his wife and children.
According to the deceased relative who confirmed the development said there was a car-snatching incident in that area around 8pm which led to an uproar and caused the victim to come out of the restaurant he was in with his family.
She said the policeman shot at the deceased while he was inside his car with his family.
The Rivers State Police Command in a statement by the Spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko said the police officer has now been arrested.
She said the policeman is attached to the Police Mobile Force 43 squadron Gombe and an investigation is going on.
