Grand Cereals Limited (GCL) is a Nigerian integrated foods company that is engaged in the production and marketing of consumer food products.
We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Team as a Packaging Development Executive who will Lead the design and development of new packaging solutions in line with brand guidelines and product needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and logistics, to ensure packaging meets functional and aesthetic requirements
- identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with packaging suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
- Source sustainable and cost-efficient materials, with an emphasis on minimizing environmental impact
- Ensure all packaging materials comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices for safety, sustainability, and functionality
- Implement quality control measures and review processes to maintain consistent packaging standards
- Oversee and manage packaging development timelines, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to leadership on milestones, challenges, and solutions
- Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve packaging efficiency without compromising quality.
- Analyze packaging costs and develop strategies to enhance profitability and sustainability.
Requirement
- Minimum of a HND/bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Packaging Development in a FMCG packaging development and packing operation
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, design processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills to work across functions and with external partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders effectively
- Ability to identify and solve complex packaging challenges.
- Meticulous attention to packaging quality and compliance.
