Nigerian Army Shortlist Successful Candidates for DSSC Enlistment 28/2024, begins Selection Exercise 15th – 28 April 2024

Following the deadline of Application for the Direct Short Service Commission Enlistment Exercise by the Nigerian Army, The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public that the Selection Board for Direct Short Service Commission Course (DSSC) 28/2024 will hold at HQ 2 Division Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Oyo State from 15-28 April 2024.

General Requirements

Candidates are to report to the Selection Board venue on 15 March 2024 between 8am–11 am with the following items:

  1. The Selection Exercise will involve physical, medical and academic tests as well as a noral interview for all candidates.
  2. Candidates will be required to produce original and duplicate copies of the following:

    • a. All academic/professional certificates including testimonials, NYSC discharge or valid Exemption Certificate as
      applicable in a file jacket.
      b. Certificate of ordination for candidates seeking Chaplain (Protestant/Roman Catholic).
      c. Certificate of Call to Bar for candidates seeking Directorate of Legal Services.
      d. Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital and Local Government
      Council of birth or valid age declaration.
      e. Valid certificate of state of origin.
      f. Military Identity Card (military personnel only).
      g. Letter of recommendation by Commanding Officers/Commanders (military personnel only).
      h. Letter of sponsorship in tertiary academic institution (military personnel only).
      i. Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate authenticated by a bank as well NIN enrolment slip.
      j. Completed copies of print outs from the DSSC portal including referee forms.
  3. Candidates are to note that any alteration on their documents will render such documents invalid.
  4. Candidates will be fed and accommodated throughout the duration of the Selection Board.
  5. Candidates will be responsible for their transportation to and from the Selection Board.
  6. The use of personal/private vehicles by candidates is strictly prohibited throughout the duration of the Selection Board.
  7. Visitors will not be allowed throughout the duration of the Selection Board.
  8. Shortlisted DSSC 28/2024 candidates are to report at the Headquarters 2 Division NigerianArmy, Ibadan, Oyo
    State on 15 April 2024 from 8 am – 11 am. Candidates who arrive after 11 am on 15 April 2024 will be
    disqualified.
  9. A high standard of discipline is expected from all candidates. Candidates who violate any instruction during the Selection
    Board will be disqualified.

NOTE:

Due to the military nature of the Exercise, the Nigerian Army shall not be liable for any injuries/deaths recorded in the
course of the Selection Board.
