Job Summary:
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all equipment, machinery, and systems at the LPG facility are in optimal working condition.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of facility
- equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves, and storage tanks.
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize
downtime. - Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and ensuring compliance with scheduled
maintenance plans. - Assisting in the procurement and inventory management of spare parts and
maintenance supplies. - Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during
maintenance activities. - Collaborating with the Operations Supervisor and Safety Officers to ensure all
systems meet operational and safety standards. - Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and implementing corrective actions
to restore functionality.
Requirements:
- HND/ND or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
- Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant technical certifications in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HSE
- training, technical trade certifications) are an advantage
- At least 3–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in the
- oil and gas or industrial sector.
- Experience with LPG systems and related equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and
- instrumentation systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and record-keeping
- systems.
- Knowledge of LPG-specific equipment such as pumps, compressors, and vapor recovery systems.
