1. Electrical & Automation Shift Supervisor
Job Summary:
To maintain all the electrical systems in the plant in order for the process to operate effectively, efficiently, and safely at the lowest possible cost.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the electrical and automation system testing procedures and ensure that the electrical and automation system developed comply with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Supervise maintenance jobs on the electrical and automation system during shutdowns/break downs to ensure technicians deliver on quality and accuracy.
- Ensure the implementation of jobs according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instruction for all electrical and automation related activities/ Processes.
- Ensure proper implementation of scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) by team.
- Take responsibility for all Low voltage power supply to LVDBs, MCCs, and Lighting distributions.
- Monitor stock level for all electrical spares and reports same to the assistant electrical manager and assistant automation manager for prompt reorder.
- Report all work-related issues to the assistant electrical manager and assistant automation manager.
- Ensure compliance with FSMS requirements in the assigned work process.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- OND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge on automation systems design, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent critical thinking and high level of numeracy abilities.
- Have strong leadership and motivational skills with the drive and focus to deliver results through teams.
2. Electrician
Job Summary:
To ensure that all electrical and automation equipment are being maintained in order to achieve the manufacturer’s life span of the equipment and also eliminate downtime due to electrical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor all Electrical/ automation control panels according to schedule.
- Carry out preventive Maintenance checks according to approved schedule and prompt filling of checklist.
- Ensure cleaning of all electrical panels, instruments, and equipment.
- Monitor all the Electrical parameters of equipment (current etc.) when on loaded and not loaded.
- Respond & take action on all electrical and automation issues in the plant.
- Ensure filling of the electrical and automation logbook at the end of the shift.
- Report all electrical and automation issues to the plant electrical & automation supervisor.
- Carryout installations and maintenance services of electrical systems and machinery to avoid power failure and job interruptions.
- Collect materials requested from stores for use in maintenance services.
- Record and monitor electrical device readings for review and evaluation.
- Carry out planned maintenance on electrical and automation systems and machinery to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- NABTEB/ Trade Test.
- 5 O’ Level Credits including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar industry.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be highly versatile in electrical troubleshooting.
- Be self motivated and able to work well independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Have great organizational and time management abilities.
