In keeping with his commitment to youth empowerment, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has officially launch the Arise Youth Employment Portal for unemployed indigenes of the state
According to the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on ICT, Dr. Frank Ekpenyong, said the portal will act as a pool where the government and private sector can identify skilled youths for targeted employment in both the civil service and private sector. The portal will be open to applicants who are indigenes of Akwa Ibom State and are currently unemployed or seeking employment.”
About Arise:
The ARISE Youth employment portal is a digital platform designed by the State Government to support job opportunities in both public service and the private sectors. It also serves as a job creation and wealth generation database as well as a pool for training, funding, and support for the youth to become employable.
Ekpenyong also noted that the portal will serve as the official platform for various recruitment and empowerment programs, including:
- Recruitment into the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service.
- The monthly N50,000 empowerment program for 5,000 youths across the 31 local government areas.
- The Dakkada Skill Acquisition Training Programs.
- Recruitment into the Ibom Community Watch (ICW).
The portal features sections for job listings, candidate profiles, and application tracking, along with a help section and resources for registration and job applications.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligble, applicants must;
- Be an indigene of Akwa Ibom State.
- Provide National Identification Number (NIN) and Voter Identification Number (VIN) for verification of identity.
- Applicants must be currently unemployed or seeking employment.
- Provide relevant personal qualifications and educational information.

- create your account with your basic information such as names, passport photo, phone number, email address, National Identification Number (NIN), and VIN.
- provide details of your qualifications and relevant academic information to verify your eligibility for employment opportunities.
- Upload your academic certificates and other relevant qualifications.
