1.) Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary
Ensures the efficient coordination of all mechanical maintenance related execution activities in any designated area in the plant.
Responsibilities:
As a mechanical engineer, your responsibility will include;
- Responsible for the execution of maintenance work carried out on mechanical equipment in the plant with proper feedback to the Sectional Engineer
- Develop /follow working methods in his field: defines procedures and ensures that they are implemented
- Ensures proper planning of work and resources with methods and execution of tasks as assigned in CMMS Or from Mechanical Maintenance Manager and close out same in SAP
- Supervises the missions and objectives of team assigned to him and carries out their performance reviews, responsible for the quality of the work done at site and motivates his personnel
- Ensures respect of safety rules and regulation by the subordinates at work areas
- Etc.
Requirements:
- HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years hands-on experience in a process industry.
2.) Automation/Instrumentation Technician
Job Summary:
Responsible for routine maintenance of all instruments and automation equipment. Monitor and report spare availability and consumption pattern to avoid nil-stock for all spare parts. Carry out Minor modifications to support the production process and recommend replacement for obsolete spares.
Responsibilities;
- Work with process control systems including programmable logic controllers, sensors and actuators
- Consult manuals, read and interprete circuit diagrams and schematics for installed instrumentation and automation equipment
- Repair and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts
- Installing control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipments
- Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
- Repair and adjust system components such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers or remove and replace defective parts
- Maintenance of both analog and digital field instruments such as level, pressure, position, limit, speed, temperature, flow, and weight sensors, actuators and gas analysers
- Etc.
Requirements:
- HND/Bsc in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Physics as main subject)
- Functional (Technical)
- Good knowledge of of cement manufacturing process
- Good knowledge of product quality parameters and quality control tests
- Good knowledge of computer aided systems for kiln and mill operations
- Able to take initiatives based on sound problem solving skills
3.) Process Engineer
Job Summary:
To provide technical support to plant operations with the ultimate goal of improving performance, efficiency and long-term profitability
Responsible for the development of the necessary system, tools and procedures for plant optimisation and troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Plays a role in safety Health and Environment commitment and demonstrates ownership. Ensure compliance to Holcim, Health and Safety standards and advisories of process department and generally in the plant.
- Conducts plant performance evaluation and technical audits with a view to optimising productivity and attaining sustainable process stability.
- Monitors the process performance of the entire plants on day to day basic and defines corrective actions as well as implement them targeted to achieve desired product.
- Defines production conditions, process parameters and operating procedures for new or modified installations to achieve the project’s stated objectives
- Etc.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in a cement plant or related industry.
- Good knowledge of cement manufacturing processes: raw meal preparation to cement storage and despatch.
- Good knowledge of thermal and mass balances as applied to cement manufacturing process
- Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation devices.
- In–depth knowledge of major industrial unit operations and their equipment functions.
- Understanding all physico-chemical reactions and resultant products applicable to cement manufacturing
- Good knowledge of thermodynamics and its application to cement manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies
- Good knowledge of Statistical process control methods and experimental design.
- Good understanding of industrial control loops and operational logics necessary for effective troubleshooting strategies
