Job Summary
To support the legal department in overseeing the legal aspects of the business, ensuring that the company adheres to Nigerian law and regulations
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring the company’s compliance with Nigerian laws and regulations.
- Help ensure that all company operations, policies, and procedures comply with legal standards.
- Support in the review and update of the company’s legal documentation to align with current laws.
- Participate in the preparation of legal opinions and recommendations.
- Support in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Conduct legal research on relevant Nigerian laws, regulations, and legal issues affecting the company.
- Perform administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, managing legal correspondence, and maintaining legal files.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents and reports for internal and external use.
Requirements
- Law degree (LLB) with minimum of 2nd class upper
- Must have completed the Nigerian Law School
- Must have completed NYSC
- Understanding of Nigerian law and legal systems
