First Independent Power Limited (FIPL), a subsidiary of Sahara Power Group, is a company in the business of power generation in Nigeria located in Rivers State. We own and operate 4 gas turbine power plants within Rivers State.

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team as Inventory and warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall governance and control of inventory and warehouse operations by ensuring accurate inventory records, bin cards, and ERP transactions across all warehouse locations.
  • Manage the end-to-end warehouse process, including receipt, inspection, documentation, storage, and issuance of materials, spares, and consumables, in line with approved internal controls and safety standards.
  • Ensure warehouse layout, housekeeping, material handling, and safety practices comply with HSE requirements, OEM guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies, including MIN/MAX methodologies, to ensure availability of critical spares while optimizing stock levels and minimizing working capital exposure.
  • Monitor inventory consumption patterns and coordinate timely and accurate reorder planning to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s OR Post-graduate degree in Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related discipline. Professional certifications in inventory, logistics or supply chain management is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience with at least 3 years in leadership role.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of inventory & warehouse management best practices
  • Knowledge of power plant spares, consumables, and maintenance support requirements
  • Proficiency in ERP systems e.g. SAP, Oracle, or equivalent
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Application of MIN/MAX inventory planning methodologies
  • Stock reconciliation, variance analysis, and asset lifecycle management
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership competencies
