1) Technical Asset Officer
Job Summary
Marconi EPC is seeking a highly skilled Asset Maintenance Coordinator to plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance activities across our fleet and operational assets. This role ensures equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and compliance with OEM and safety standards, supporting seamless project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update asset register, equipment history, technical files, and life cycle records.
- Assist in asset classification, tagging, tracking, and reporting across all locations.
- Conduct asset verification, audits, and inventory exercises to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
- Support asset transfer and maintain proper documentation for all asset movements.
- Plan and schedule asset deployment for projects and operational needs.
- Maintain office occupancy records, documentation, and time sheets for client-occupied spaces.
- Coordinate asset disposal processes in line with approved policies and regulatory requirements.
- Track asset movement, logistics, and utilization history for accuracy and traceability.
- Support inspection activities and ensure corrective actions are tracked to closure.
- Ensure adherence to OEM standards, statutory regulations, and HSE requirements.
- Support asset improvement initiatives, upgrades, and special technical projects.
- Handle basic AutoCAD drafting, equipment layout drawings, and site planning support.
- Participate in asset planning, equipment movement, and tracking for project execution.
- Review basic engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical documents for compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE guidelines for all asset-related operations.
- Participate in toolbox talks, inspections, HSE audits, and maintain permits/incident records.
- Prepare regular reports on asset condition, allocation, usage, and performance.
- Maintain dashboards for asset KPIs and maintenance metrics.
- Provide accurate asset information to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Requirements
- HND or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Asset Management, Asset Coordination, or Technical Operations (Oil & Gas or EPC preferred).
- Hands-on experience with CMMS, asset planning, AutoCAD operations, and equipment tracking.
- Training or certification in CMMS/Asset Management is an added advantage.
2) Heavy Duty Technician
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on heavy-duty equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and system faults using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Perform overhauls on engines, braking systems, hydraulic components, and lifting systems.
- Carry out torque bolt checks, turntable clearance inspection, and other OEM-prescribed safety checks on wheeled cranes.
- Carry out wire rope checks and replacements, and other OEM-prescribed safety checks on wheeled cranes.
- Ensure all repairs comply with OEM specifications and safety standards.
- Support operational teams by ensuring lifting and transport equipment are fit-for-purpose and ready for deployment.
- Follow manufacturer manuals, schematics, and calibration standards for adjustments and component replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and work orders.
- Update equipment history files, service logs, preventive maintenance schedules, and parts reorder documentation.
- Ensure proper tagging, fault reporting, and closure of maintenance activities.
- Adhere strictly to HSE rules, company policies, and regulatory requirements during all maintenance tasks.
- Participate in safety inspections, toolbox talks, and incident reporting.
- Ensure proper housekeeping in workshops and equipment areas.
- Support compliance during audits and inspections of lifting and transport equipment.
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and operations teams to ensure effective maintenance planning and downtime reduction.
- Provide technical input for equipment condition assessments, refurbishment decisions, and component upgrades.
Requirements
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
- Relevant technical training in mechanical, automotive, or heavy-equipment maintenance.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience maintaining cranes, forklifts, manlifts, or heavy-duty transport equipment.
- Experience using tools for torqueing, alignment, diagnostics, and OEM calibration.
- Additional certification in heavy-duty equipment maintenance, lifting equipment inspection, or hydraulics is an added advantage.
