OMSL is also licensed under the Nigerian Maritime Labour Act 2007 by the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Maritime regulatory body NIMASA (Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency) to operate and provide Manning / Crewing services for vessels operating within and outside the Nigerian territorial waters.

Job Summary:

A reputable maritime organization, Bourbon, is seeking qualified and competent professionals to fill the roles of Marine Pilot and Marine Engineer.
The ideal candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise, operational discipline, and a solid understanding of maritime safety and navigation standards.

Responsibilities

1. Marine Pilot:

  • Conduct safe and efficient vessel navigation and maneuvering
  • Ensure compliance with port and navigational regulations

2. Marine Engineer:

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and operation of marine engineering systems
  • Ensure optimal performance and safety of onboard machinery

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and safety standards
  • Collaborate with crew members and port authorities for seamless operations
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and technical documentation

Requirements:

  • Valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) Certificate (mandatory)
  • Proven experience in maritime operations
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
