Job Summary:

As a Shutdown Engineer, you will Support the planning and execution of all approved shutdowns / turnaround (planned and unplanned) scope of work for the LNG Trains to ensure delivery of Business Plan in terms of HSE, plant availability, integrity and performance to guarantee delivery of committed LNG, LPG and Condensates in a competitive manner

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of all Trains shutdowns within approved Budgets, Durations, HSE and Quality targets for the shutdowns.
  • Assist in the execution of the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) strategy for all Trains shutdowns and ensure implementation and compliance with Shutdown HSE targets.
  • Assist in the management of Engineering Shutdown multi-disciplinary teams during planning and execution phases in a professional manner to deliver Trains outages/shutdowns in accordance with approved Shutdown Premise KPIs all Trains shutdowns.
  • Assist in the execute Shutdown Management Process (SMP) and ensure adherence in all the phases of SMP for all Trains shutdowns.
  • Ensures, together with the Logistics Coordinator, that all Shutdown materials are available as at when due.
  • For all Trains shutdowns, assist in compiling comprehensive shutdown closeout reports, including all statistics, and distribute to management and the main shutdown team members.
  • Assist in the planning of competency development training for staff to ensure adequate skills availability in line with company Nigerianization Policy for executions of shutdowns. Ensure all shutdown contract staff (permanent and casual) are suitably trained and inducted to company standards.
  • Assist with managing worksite conflicts/simultaneous operations to an absolute minimum

Requirements:

  • University degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials/Metallurgy, Electrical, Electronics)

Required Skills/Experience

  • 5- 7 years post-graduation experience, out of which at least 3 years should have been spent in a multidiscipline Shutdown Engineer position or a Discipline Maintenance role in a reputable organization preferably an Oil & Gas company.
  • HSSE Critical Position (SCP)
  • This job function is categorized through the HEMP process as a Level-1 HSSE Critical Position and as such is subject to the competency compliance condition
