We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Subsea Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking to engage a Project Engineer with subsea knowledge to support project engineering activities across subsea, pipeline, and field development projects.
The ideal candidate will be expected to execute project planning, technical documentation, risk assessments, and field operations while developing on-the-job skills from industry experts.
We are looking for a candidate with the ability to multitask and creatively adapt to emerging technology and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

  • Project planning, scheduling, and execution for oil and gas projects.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Supervise and support field operations, including offshore and onshore site activities.
  • Participate in QA/QC inspections, risk assessments, and integrity management tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Be familiar with the requirements of all documents that make up the contract, including general conditions of contract, scope of work, design basis, specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Ensure that the work and deliverables of trainee engineers and formats for drawings and documents meet the requirements of the Quality Plan.

Requirements

  • B.Eng. in Marine Engineering, Marine Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 4–6 years’ minimum experience in the engineering field with strong knowledge of the oil & gas industry.
  • NYSC (completed).
  • Certifications and licenses in relevant engineering areas.
  • Knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs, ROV use—its functionalities and applications, field support vessel types, platform types, flowlines, and risers.
  • Experience with MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology on pipelines, installations, and subsea structures.
  • Working knowledge of RAM analysis, FMECA, and/or Functional Safety Engineering.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Good communication skills
