Ocean Marine Solutions Ltd is a strategically positioned organization operating the marine industry to provide solutions to high-risks security concerns in Nigerian waters.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position as an assistant Manager, ICT.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate Candidate will be responsible for providing, coordinating, and facilitating the
implementation of appropriate Network and cybersecurity infrastructure and strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains the inventory of all hardware products and sofware licenses, and reviews maintenance agreements
- Coordinate design and implementation with Head ICT to ensure alignment with area/cluster objectives and corporate strategic IT direction.
- ldentify and implement solutions to user challenges and concerns associated with the use of personal computer equipment.
- Coordinate upgrades and maintain the directory structure on network servers.
- Monitor, diagnose, and adjust performance on LAN and network servers.
- Manage shared technology resources.
- Carry out periodic preventative maintenance on machines to ensure their reliability and availability.
- Manage secure network access for remote users.
- keep up to date with new technology.
- Assuring all ICT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations given by NDPA.
- Evaluating technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
- Ensure to manage all ICT Infrastructure and operations daily to ensure the availability of systems to support the Company’s service delivery objectives.
- To provide in-house network and server support and, where necessary, to work with the outsourced ICT Providers.
- To be able to quickly and competently diagnose network issues and to resolve or externally escalate them when required.
- To assist in the production and maintenance of documentation relating to the Company’s ICT system.
- To assist in the administration of the Company’s communication systems including mobile phones, internet connection, and telephone system.
- Ensuring the organization’s compliance with NDPA, ISO/IEC 27001, and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to information security.
- Implement the requirements of the Information security management system and ensure that security controls are documented.
- Takes responsibility for the day-to-day operational effectiveness of the Company’s ICT security and compliance with the responsibility of investigating cybersecurity breaches
- Investigation of unauthorized access and the initiation of risk control measures
Requirements:
- Minimum of HND/BSC in Electrical Electronics, Computer Science/Engineering.
- or other applicable degree course
- Necessary certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISA, MCSE, et al
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
