Job Summary

As a Facility Management Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining Ikeja Electric’s facilities, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance while optimizing facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance schedules to ensure consistent facility operation and minimal disruptions. Conducting regular inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components) to identify and address maintenance needs. Ensuring all facilities comply with safety and regulatory standards, including fire safety, electrical compliance, and environmental guidelines.
  • Collaborating with external vendors to facilitate repairs and maintenance, ensuring adherence to Ikeja Electric’s standards and quality expectations.
  • Tracking maintenance schedules, costs, and performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure facility management strategies align with operational needs, providing timely and cost-effective solutions to enhance workplace efficiency.
  • Identify potential facility-related risks, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and implement proactive measures to minimize operational disruptions and hazards.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless facility operations and effective maintenance management. Continuously seek innovative facility management solutions, leveraging technology and process improvements to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on best practices in facility management, maintenance technologies, and regulatory compliance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Adapt to evolving facility management technologies, sustainability practices and industry regulations to enhance operational resilience and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience.
