Job Summary:
The Graduate Geoscientist will provide technical support across seismic interpretation, petrophysical evaluation, reservoir characterization, and static modelling activities to support subsurface studies and field development planning. The role offers strong technical exposure and growth opportunities within a multidisciplinary reservoir project environment.
Responsibilities
- Support seismic interpretation, horizon and fault mapping, well correlation, and subsurface evaluations.
- Contribute to petrophysical analysis, well log interpretation, and reservoir characterization studies.
- Assist with reservoir static modelling workflows, including facies and petrophysical property modelling.
- Support geological studies and field development evaluations within Niger Delta settings.
- Prepare technical reports, manage subsurface data, and support multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Assist in identifying subsurface uncertainties and support reservoir development decisions through integrated studies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Geoscience, or related discipline.
- Strong relevant technical training.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in subsurface geoscience or reservoir studies.
- Practical exposure to seismic interpretation and reservoir characterization workflows is required.
- Familiarity with Niger Delta geology is essential.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of petroleum geology and reservoir characterization.
- Sound grounding in petrophysics and geophysical interpretation techniques.
- Familiarity with static modelling concepts and subsurface data integration.
- Strong user of Petrel, Geolog and/or Techlog.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Seismic interpretation and structural mapping capability.
- Petrophysical evaluation and well log analysis skills.
- Reservoir static modelling support capability.
- Technical reporting and data management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
