Montego Upstream Services Limited is a Nigerian indigenous engineering and oil & gas services company. The company provides engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), project management, pipeline, facilities, and maintenance services to clients in the oil and gas industry.

We are recruiting qualified candidates to apply for the following positions:

1) Cost Estimator

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for engineering, procurement, construction, pipeline, and facilities projects. This role involves developing winning bids by reviewing tender requirements, preparing cost breakdowns, obtaining vendor quotations, and ensuring timely submission of compliant bids that enhance the company’s competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cost estimation, project engineering, or construction within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with pipeline, facilities, EPC, or construction projects.
  • Experience preparing tender estimates and bid submissions.
  • Familiarity with NIPEX, e-Tender, and other electronic procurement platforms is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

2) Tendering Engineer

Job Summary

The successful candidate will support the company’s tendering activities by assisting with the preparation of technical bids and pre-qualification documents. The role includes reviewing tender requirements, coordinating technical inputs, preparing bid documentation, maintaining tender records, and contributing to the timely submission of competitive and compliant proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in tendering, project engineering, construction, or a related engineering environment.
  • Experience preparing technical and commercial bid documentation is an advantage.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas, EPC, or Construction industry is an advantage.
  • Ability to support bid preparation, quality checks, and timely submission of proposals.

3) Tax Accounting

Job Summary

The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all tax returns, including CIT (Company Income Tax), VAT (Value Added Tax), WHT (Withholding Tax), and other statutory taxes. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and have practical experience working with tax authorities to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
  • Practical experience dealing with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) (where applicable), and State Internal Revenue Services (e.g., LIRS).
  • Proven experience in Transfer Pricing.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.

4) Treasury Accountant

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s cash flow, maintaining strong banking relationships, and ensuring efficient treasury operations to support the financial objectives of the company’s fast-paced oil and gas business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar treasury or finance role, with solid hands-on experience in treasury and bank management in the oil and gas industry or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian banking systems and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (such as SAP, Odoo, etc.) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial reporting.

5) Senior Tendering Engineer

Job Summary

The successful candidate will support the company’s tendering and pre-qualification activities by preparing accurate, compliant, and competitive bid submissions. The role involves coordinating technical inputs from internal teams, maintaining the tender database, and ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals that contribute to winning new business.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in tendering, proposal management, or bid coordination.
  • Strong experience preparing technical proposals within the oil & gas or EPC industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
