Kogi State University, Kabba (KSUK) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for academic and non-teaching roles as part of its ongoing expansion.

Established to meet the higher education needs of Kogi State and the wider Nigerian community, KSUK is now in its second academic session and steadily growing into a hub of excellence.

With three established faculties—Arts and Humanities, Management, Administration and Social Sciences, and Science and Computing—KSUK currently offers 25 academic programs and continues to expand its educational reach.

General Requirements for Teaching Positions

Professor

• Ph.D. with a minimum of 10 years of university teaching experience
• At least 3 years as Reader
• Proven postgraduate supervision at Ph.D. level
• At least 24 academic publications (8 may be edited conference papers)
• Strong research track record and external assessment

Reader

• Ph.D. with a minimum of 8 years of university teaching experience
• At least 3 years as Senior Lecturer
• Minimum of 18 publications (6 may be edited conference papers)
• Demonstrated academic leadership and research capability

Senior Lecturer / Principal Librarian

• Ph.D. with at least 3 years as Lecturer I
• Minimum of 10 publications (4 may be edited conference proceedings)
• Lecturer I / Senior Librarian
• Ph.D. or Master’s degree with 3 years as Lecturer II
• Minimum of 5 publications (Ph.D.) or 7 publications (Master’s)

Lecturer II / Librarian I

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree with 3 years cognate experience
• At least 3 publications (1 may be an edited conference proceeding)

Assistant Lecturer / Librarian II

• Master’s degree with at least Second-Class Honours in First Degree

Assistant Librarian

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum Second-Class Upper
• NYSC certificate or exemption

Bursary Department

• Chief Accountant: 12 years relevant experience with accounting-related degree and professional certification
• Principal Accountant: 9 years of relevant experience
• Senior Accountant: 6 years of relevant experience

Library Department

• Assistant Chief Library Officer: Master’s in Library Science + 12 years experience
• Principal Library Officer: Master’s in Library Science + 9 years experience
• Higher Library Officer: Bachelor’s in Library Science + 3 years experience
• ICT Staff: Bachelor’s or HND in Computer Science
• Library Officer: Bachelor’s in Library and Information Science

University Clinic

• Medical Officer I: Medical degree with MDCN registration

• Medical Laboratory Scientists I & II: B.Sc. in Med Lab Science and MLSCN registration

• Nursing Officer II: Bachelor’s in Nursing Science and NMCN registration

• Staff Nurse: Registered Nurse with valid license

• Medical Records Officer I: BSc or BHIM in Health Info Management with HRORBN registration

• All applicants must have NYSC discharge or exemption certificates and be computer literate.
