We are recruiting qualified candidates to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance (Workshop).

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance will be responsible for the operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment including engines, pumps, compressors, and power generation systems. The role requires hands-on expertise in Caterpillar and Perkins engines, reciprocating and centrifugal pumps, and air compressors, with strong diagnostic and technical reporting skills. The position involves workshop and field operations, including remote and onshore locations.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of gas and diesel engines, pumps, and compressors.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment (engines, pumps, compressors).
  • Execute First Line Maintenance (FLM) checks on running equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment faults using specialist diagnostic tools (ET, DDT, Fuel Pump Timing, Manometer).
  • Analyze equipment failure patterns, trend failures, and recommend permanent solutions.
  • Conduct repair works on engine accessories such as starter motors, butterfly assemblies, fuel systems, and emergency shutdown switches.
  • Support fluid-end inspections on reciprocating pumps.
  • Work on AGG air compressors and emergency fire pumps.
  • Provide technical support to contractors and internal teams.
  • Lead and manage technical crews during field call-outs.
  • Support intervention activities in utility power substations and other field locations.
  • Prepare accurate technical and maintenance reports.
  • Work independently on gas and diesel pumps with minimal supervision.
  • Operate and maintain specialist tools, power tools, and machinery safe

Requirements

  • B.Tech, B.Eng, or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with Caterpillar Engines/Generator Sets (35-Series & C-Series).
  • Proven experience using specialist diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong background in technical report writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in remote and onshore field locations.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
