Ocean Deep Drilling ESV Nigeria Limited (“ODENL”) is a private limited liability company, incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990 and domiciled in Nigeria. The Company was jointly incorporated by OES and Ensco with the aim of deploying and operating offshore drilling assets in Nigeria. OES Energy Services Limited (“OESL”) is the leading and largest indigenous provider of swamp drilling rig services to exploration and production companies operating in Nigeria, with a track record of safe and efficient service delivery. OESL has been providing services to the Nigerian upstream sector for more than 10 years. OESL is the most experienced indigenous drilling contractor, with a fleet of four swamp drilling rigs that have achieved five million man-hours without a lost time incident, while operating with a 97% indigenous workforce. The company has provided drilling and completions services to all the major international oil companies operating in Nigeria.
We are seeking qualified candidates to fill the following Vacant Positions Below;
1.Subsea Engineer:
- Associate’s degree in Technical / Engineering Degree
- 5 years’ experience in subsea engineering
- Technical (Mechanical/Hydraulic) Certification or equivalent subsea related program
- Fundamental Well Control Certificate — Subsea and Surface combined
2. Chief Mechanic
- Associate’s degree in Technical / Engineering Degree
- 10 years of shore experience, with minimum of 5 years as Chief Rig Mechanic with supervisory responsibility
- Extensive Mechanical / Hydraulic experience or equivalent on 5th or 6th generation rigs
- Certificates and working experience with NOV Drilling Package
- Strong experience with power and hydraulic systems
- High level knowledge of machine shop and welding activities
3. Senior Mechanic
- Associate’s degree in Technical / Engineering Degree
- 7 years offshore experience in position as Mechanic experienced and trained on Hydraulic Systems troubleshooting and maintenance
4. Electrical Supervisor
- Associate’s degree in Technical / Engineering Degree
- 8 years offshore experience in electrical department with supervisory responsibility
- Certificates and working knowledge of SCR Drives, Generator Controls, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) are required
- Experience with both Low- and High-Voltage Systems is required
5. Senior Electrician
- Associate’s degree in Technical / Engineering Degree
- 7 years offshore experience in electrical department
- Certificates and advance working knowledge of repair and rebuilding electrical components and wiring of electrical motors which include:
- Generators and Generator control systems
- Transformers systems
- Drilling system
- Electrical motors
- Jacking systems
- Pumps
- Air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Crane electrical systems
- Inter communication equipment
- Power generators
- Lighting fixtures
- Alarms
- Fuses and Switches
6. Senior Electronic Technician
- Associate’s degree in Technical / Engineering Degree
- 8 years offshore experience in Electrical/Electronic Department with supervisory responsibility
- Certificates and advance working knowledge of SCR Drives, Generator Controls, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), CompEx, etc. are required
- Experience with both Low- and High-Voltage Systems is required
7. Electronic Technician
- Associate’s degree in Technical / Engineering Degree
- 7 years offshore experience in Electrical/Electronic Department
- Certificates and working knowledge of SCR Drives, Generator Controls, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), CompEx, etc.
8. Rig Maintenance Supervisor
- Associate’s degree in Technical / Engineering Degree
- Chief Engineer License without limitation for horsepower or geographical area preferred
- 10 years offshore experience in Mechanical Department (topside or engine room) with minimum of 7 years working on a drilling vessel in a Maintenance discipline and minimum of 5 years as Department head in one of the following disciplines — Engineering; Electrical/Electronic; Mechanical or Subsea
- Extensive Mechanical / Hydraulic experience on 5th or 6th generation rigs
- Minimum of 5 years working on a drilling vessel in a Maintenance
9. Chief Engineer
- Associate’s degree in Marine Engineering Degree
- 10 years offshore experience on a Dynamic Positioning vessel with 5 years minimum as First Engineer
- Valid Certificate of Competency with the qualification of First Engineer – all ships without limitations
- Valid STCW 95 III/2 Certificates
10. 2nd Engineer
- Associate’s degree in Marine Engineering Degree
- 7 years offshore experience on Dynamic Positioning vessel with 4 years minimum experience as 2nd Engineer
- Valid Certificate of Competency with the qualification of First Engineer – all ships
- Valid STCW 95 III/1 Certificate and 3rd Class Motor
11. 3rd Engineer
- Associate’s degree in Marine Engineering Degree
- 5 years offshore experience on Dynamic Positioning vessel
- Valid Certificate of Competency with the qualification of 3rd Engineer unlimited
12. Senior Storekeeper
- Associate’s degree in technical / bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years minimum experience utilizing PeopleSoft Warehouse Management Module or other Computerized Warehouse Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software
- 5 years rig-based experience in similar position with exposure to warehouse maintenance application
13. Deck Foreman
- Associate’s degree in technical / bachelor’s Degree
- Two (2) or more years as a certified Crane Operator with prior offshore experience preferred
General Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Nigerian nationality
- Professional experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an added advantage
- Academic qualifications equivalent to or in line with those required for the position
- Availability to work offshore on a rotational schedule of 28/28 or 35/35 days
