Job Summary
The Occupational Health Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s occupational health program, ensuring the health and safety of employees through comprehensive health assessments, risk management, and wellness initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the occupational health nursing team, including nurses, health and safety officers, and support staff.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and compliance with occupational health regulations.
- Promote a culture of health, safety, and well-being across the hospital, ensuring that employees have access to necessary resources and support.
Strategic Development - Develop and implement a comprehensive occupational health strategy, aligned with the hospital’s overall mission and objectives.
- Identify key health risks within the hospital workforce and develop targeted interventions to mitigate these risks.
- Lead initiatives to promote employee wellness, such as vaccination programs, health screenings, and mental health support services
- Responsible for delivering excellent patient focused facilities, which take into account any staff and any feedback from staff and patients.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in emergency practice.
- Specialized training or certification relevant to the role
- Meet all requirement to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Masters in related subject
- Professional qualification in a relevant subject
- Experience Significant clinical experience in the relevant specialty (5 years).
- Experience of working in an acute setting
- Experience of managing at hospital level
- Managing complex situations Experience of managing complaints
- Experience of working with Clinical systems
- Previous Occupational Management experience.
