Police Redeploys Rumuji DPO Allegedly Involved In Illegal Oil Bunkering, Set up panel of investigation.

The Rivers State Police Command has set up panel to investigate Rumuji Divisional Police Officer, DPO; who was allegedly accused of involvement in illegal bunkering activities.

Acting Police Public Relations Officer Mrs.Grace Iringe-Koko in a statement said the accused officer has been redeployed and a panel headed by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, inaugurated to investigate the matter.

Mrs.Iringe-Koko stated that the outcome of the investigation will be made public and the officer punished appropriately if found wanton .

According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police Mr.Eboka Friday reiterated the command’s commitment to support the state Government in its war against illegal oil bunkering and assured the public that no one found guilty will be spare no matter how highly placed .

The command appealed to any one with useful information on where the illegal oil refineries are situated not to hesitate in informing the security Agencies or the Local Government chairmen.
