Court dismisses suit seeking to nullify Rivers’ PDP Gov. Primary

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit seeking to nullify Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers gubernatorial primary held on May 26, 2022.

Doctor Farah Dagogo who was arrested at the Primary Screening venue in Rivers State had filed a suit to nullify the Primaries.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Taiwo Taiwo declined to restrain the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from accepting the winner of the primary.

He held that the applicant, Dr. Farah Dagogo, had no locus standi to file the suit.

The primary was won by the immediate past Accountant General of Rivers State, Siminaliayi Fubara.
