We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Reservoir Engineer.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Reservoir Engineer. The role involves reservoir characterization, production forecasting, reserves estimation, and collaboration with production teams to support field development and asset performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct reservoir simulations and engineering studies to maximize oil recovery and enhance well performance.
  • Develop and update reservoir management strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform analytical and numerical reservoir studies for primary and secondary recovery projects.
  • Manage reservoir surveillance, performance monitoring, and behavior prediction.
  • Supervise third-party technical studies and prepare reserve estimates and annual reservoir reports.
  • Evaluate well proposals, conduct field reviews, and identify infill, recompletion, and workover opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze field production to ensure optimal reservoir management and recovery.
  • Develop production optimization and recovery improvement strategies.
  • Plan, execute, and interpret production tests.
  • Prepare short-, medium-, and long-term production forecasts.
  • Ensure quality and continuity of reservoir engineering studies, including migration from contractors.
  • Provide reservoir input for asset evaluations and data room reviews.
  • Support drilling, wells, and operational activities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and participate in operational duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a first degree in Petroleum Engineering or any related field
  • Masters in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering will be an added advantage
  • SPE or any related professional qualification is an added advantage
  • Professional membership, e.g. Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) is an added advantage
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of reservoir management experience with an operating company or specialist service company
