Rivers Apc Crisis: Court adopts final arguments, reserves judgment

by Area Talk

A State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has reserved judgment on a suit filed by the dissolved elected state, local government, and ward executives of the APC under the leadership of Emeka Beke.

Recall that Mr. Beke who led the state executive council had filed a suit challenging their removal by the national executive of the party and replacing it with a seven-man Caretaker Committee led by Tony Okocha.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Sika Aprioku, after listening to arguments from both lawyers, reserved the judgment on a day to be communicated to the parties within forty-eight hours.

Justice Aprioku also dismissed the application for joinder filed by some members of APC loyal to the South-South Vice Chairman, Victor Giadom, for lacking in merit and awarded the sum of N300,000 in favour of the claimants.
