We are hiring to fill in the following position
Job Title: Senior Project Control Engineer
Location: Nigeria
Responsibilities
- Provide overall project cost, schedule, estimating, progress measurement,
- and change management leadership and expertise
- Manage Project Cost and Schedule throughout the project life cycle.
- Fully understand the scope of the project, contractual requirements,
- identify the major milestones and set clear priorities for the project team.
- Lead the cost and schedule estimates for various Gate reviews and
- participate in the preparation of Gate packages.
- Mentor intermediate and junior project controls engineers and ensure the
- technical quality and timeliness of work.
- Serve as a link to the Project Services Common Skill Center organization;
- gain alignment for support and approval of key deliverables (i.e. Estimates
- Development Plans, Estimates, etc.)
- Develop and maintain the Project Controls related plans and procedures.
- Ensure implementation of the stewardship process identify and champion
- process improvements.
- Participate in kick-offs and ongoing meetings with the Engineering,
- Procurement and Construction (EPC) clients to ensure common
- understanding of project controls requirements.
- Participate in gathering and recording lessons learned for the project.
- Serve as the budget custodian, lead financial close-out of the project and
- participate in other project close-out activities.
- Stewards Project cost/schedule with ongoing project analysis, reporting,
- forecasting, budgeting and Change Management:
- Coordinate the collecting, analyzing, and reporting of project cost and
- schedule control information to ensure overall project status is assessed
- and that the potential problem areas are identified.
- Analyze trends, prepare forecasts, opportunities and vulnerabilities.
- Administer the project change control process and communicate
- implication of changes. Steward the overall Change Management process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Equivalent
- 10- 15 years experience
- Minimum of 2nd class lower or Lower Credit.
- Must have excellent computer skills and possess extensive skills in oral and
- written communication.
- Knowledge of Interdisciplinary Work Processes/Interface/Deliverables
- Familiarity with codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to
- the design and construction of onshore and offshore
- structures/production facilities
- Flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with engineering disciplines, as well as outside clients,
- subcontractors and vendors.
- Possesses advanced computer skills.
- Project and Time management skills.
- Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and
- weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
