The Publicity Secretary-Elect of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Chris Finebone says the state executive of the party, once inaugurated, will go after individuals who are allegedly impersonating the party and bringing disrepute to the party.
Finebone, a pioneer spokesman of the party in the state had, alongside Chief Emeka Beke and others elected in a state congress conducted by a panel of party officials inaugurated and sent by the CECPC which acts with full powers of the APC National Executive Council.
Recall that earlier today, the Senator Magnus Abe-led faction of the APC in Rivers State have inaugurated a state executive committee headed by Golden Chioma.
According to Christ Finebone, the Chairman and other officers of a political party can only be elected at a proper congress held in the full view of the public.
Mr. Finebone further described the actions of Senator Magnus Abe as delusions of grandeur.
The publicity secretary also threatened to send security agents after all impersonators of the party in Rivers State once his side concludes its inauguration process and liaison with the National arm of the APC.
“It Doesn’t lie In the mouth of anyone to declare himself or herself a State Chairman or officer of a political Party at a press conference.
“The Chairman and other officers of a political Party (Wheater at the Ward, local Govt. or State level) are elected or emerge at a proper congress held in the Full View if everyone especially the media and security agents in the Instant Case, the State Congress was Conducted by a panel of Party officers duly inaugurated and sent by the CECPC which acts with full powers of the APC NEC.
“You witnessed Our State congress last Saturday at the POLO CLUB GROUNDS, Port Harcourt anyone can organize a press Conference and declare himself the president of NIGERIA. That is the Exmplary my teachers used to explain the Phrase delusion of Grandeur
“Please be guided that as soon as our inauguration is done with, we will liaise with APC National and get security agents to go after any impersonators of our party in Rivers State.
“We have more serious issues to tackle than trading words or being Disturbed by a bunch of Jokers who have run Their ship around due to inordinate Ambition, BETRAYAL & GREED.” he added.
