Oriental Energy Resources Limited (OERL) is a privately held indigenous oil and gas exploration and production company with a primary focus on Nigeria.

Job Summary:

Offshore role to oversee daily production and maintenance operations on our EBOK WFB (West Fault Block).

Responsibilities:

  • To monitor and supervise production operations on a daily basis.
  • Ensure excellent wells and equipment uptime and equipment reliability.
  • Supervise both routine and MER well testing, as specified by the Petroleum Engineering team.
  • Responsible for all NUPRC and other regulatory agencies related issues on the WFB.
  • Ensure developments on the WFB are communicated to all team members.
  • Supervise maintenance and installation activities on the WFB.
  • Identify potential challenges and proactively resolve them.
  • Provide support to the EBOK FPU CAR on issues relating to third-party vendor activities on the WFB.
  • Maintain safe operations within OERL’s policies.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc./HND in any relevant engineering discipline.
  • Higher qualifications will be an added advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience.
  • Sufficient experience in wellhead maintenance and operations.
  • Background knowledge or experience in well drilling, completions, or workover operations is an added advantage.
  • Background or general understanding of LACT Unit and Cargo operations.
  • Excellent understanding of the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • BOSIET/HUET training.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite – Excel/Power point/Word.
