1. Job title: Catering Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsible for all aspects of catering, line operations and ensuring every flight is stocked according to
specifications. Monitoring meal orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all on/off schedule flights are catered and equipped to the standards at all times.
  • Supervise loading and offloading of catering equipment supplies and food products into the aircraft.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of catering supplies on board.
  • Upload and haul used items back to distribution centre for restocking and cleaning
  • Liaise with the supplier and cabin services to ensure they understand and fulfil out supply forms.
  • Establish in conjunction with cabin crew that supply allocations are according to schedules.
  • Ensure that contractors provide correct onboard supplies per flight.
  • Ensure that hygiene standards are maintained in accordance with the company’s & external regulations
  • Ensure pax figures are obtained the previous day and checked as per flight-on-flight date Sending of orders to vendors a day prior to the flight date
  • Cross-checking orders for possible updates before aircraft arrival for flights
  • Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by Catering/In-Flight Services Manager.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to interpret schedules, and place meal orders

Requirements

  • BA/MA HND, BSC, in Catering and Hotel Management, Food Tech or Microbiology
  • Professional qualification in Food Safety and Hygiene or HACCP
  • 3 years and above working experience

  • Ability to work under pressure

2. Job title: Training Manager in the Aviation Sector

Job Summary:

The Training Manager will be in charge of ensuring that employees receive the necessary knowledge, skills and ability to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently. He/she will be in charge of training staff on regulated training like dangerous goods, human factor training, aviation security training and indoctrination training.

Responsibilities:

Training Program & Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement training programs that align with the airline’s goals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify training needs by collaborating with various departments and conducting needs assessments.
  • Curriculum Design and Delivery
  • Create training materials, manuals, and multimedia visual aids for various training programs
  • Deliver training sessions to employees, covering topics such as customer service,
  • safety procedures, technical skills, and compliance

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements to ensure that training programs comply with aviation standards and regulations

Indoctrination and Orientation:

  • Develop and conduct onboarding programs for new hires, introducing them to the company culture, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate orientation sessions to familiarize new employees with the airline industry and its specific challenges.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Implement assessment tools and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
  • Analyse training outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the Line Manager
  • Incorporate technology and e-learning platforms into training programs to enhance accessibility and engagement.
  • Stay current with industry trends in training technology and recommend updates as needed.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders
  • Work closely with various departments, including operations, maintenance, and customer service, to understand specific training needs and requirements
  • Collaborate with external training organizations and vendors when necessary
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Regularly review and update training materials to reflect changes in policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Seek feedback from employees and incorporate suggestions for continuous improvement.

Emergency Response Training:

  • Develop and conduct emergency response training programs to ensure that employees are prepared to handle critical situations.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of programs and resources

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of employee training, certifications, and compliance to meet regulatory and audit requirements
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the line manager

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be well-versed in aviation regulations, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to adapt to the dynamic and fast-paced nature of the industry.
  • He/she will play a vital role in enhancing employee performance, safety, and overall organizational effectiveness
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry is compulsory.
  • Experience Level 5-10 years
  • BA/B.sc from a recognized university in Nigeria or around the world.
  • Excellent communication / written skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Packages and other software packages
