We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst

Job Summary

As a GIS Analyst, you will play a vital role in collecting, analyzing, and managing spatial data to support Ikeja Electric’s power distribution network. Your expertise will contribute to network optimization, outage management, asset tracking, and long-term planning to ensure efficient and reliable electricity distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and maintain spatial data on power lines, substations, transformers, and customer locations.
  • Conduct spatial analysis to support decision-making for network optimization, outage management, and load forecasting.
  • Collaborate with asset management teams to monitor and maintain data on distribution asset condition, age, and performance.
  • Work closely with engineering, planning, operations, commercials, and marketing teams to provide GIS insights for various projects.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and data security protocols for GIS and spatial data management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in geography, geology, engineering. computer science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 0-3 years of progressive experience working with geographic information systems (GIS).
