Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide geosciences support for Neconde OML-42 assets (fields and reservoirs) by providing up-to date reservoir descriptions, supporting quality estimates of hydrocarbon volumes and reserves, and participating in field development activities, exploration, and production optimization activities.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting seismic data to enable mapping of exploration opportunities and remapping of mature fields/reservoirs.
- Maintaining up-to-date structural and stratigraphic description of reservoirs including regional descriptions of reservoir systems.
- Developing a solid understanding of depositional environments and fault frameworks of fields and reservoirs.
- Maintaining up-to-date structural maps and reservoir property maps of assigned fields and reservoirs.
- Ensure that maps incorporate all available information, and that uncertainties in maps and estimates of original and remaining hydrocarbon in-place volumes are understood.
- Characterizing reservoirs and build geologic models for reservoir simulation using up to date tools and best practices.
- Participating in decision making during drilling and workover activities.
- Routine provision of geological insight into well and reservoir challenges towards resolving problems.
- Liaising with geophysicists to ensure new technologies are adopted to improve geologic interpretations of reservoirs.
- Working in multifunctional team to identify well drilling opportunities.
- Having a working knowledge of well log interpretation.
- Working seamlessly with Petroleum Engineers to optimize hydrocarbon resources and production in OML 42.
