Mechanical Technician at Prime Atlantic Cegelec Limited

Prime Atlantic Cegelec (PACE) Limited is an indigenous Nigerian company dedicated to effecting development and building capacity in the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting project plans
• Carrying out planned maintenance checks
• Performs on site maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility,
• Manages intervention reporting using the CMMS ensuring accurate data input for the historical reporting on the work he actions
• Ensures all worksites are clean and tidy on completion of works
• Participates fully in Pre-work assessments and risk assessments and abides by the recommendations.
• Responding to emergency calls
• Verifies that all procedures, specifications and standards are followed
• Ensures that the operations planned work scope is managed effectively in accordance with agreed targets to avoid disruption.
• Ensures that day to day requirements are met with regards Scope, tool and means and onsite risk assessments.
• Undertakes any other duties which may be required (within his competency) to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
• Ensures that plant, equipment and materials stocks are monitored, and all required certifications are in place.
• Identifies present and potential problems, reports and discusses, and proposes solutions/alternatives
• Daily activities report to team coordinator.

Requirements:

• Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study)
• Minimum of 5 years Work Experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations
• Ability to work in a large multinational team
• Ability to work independently while maintaining good relations with colleagues and others
• Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site
• Able to express himself in English
• Knowledge with informatics tools like Word, Excel, and SAP
