Standard Testing & Inspection Services Ltd. (STIS) is a Nigerian engineering services company that provides inspection, testing, maintenance support, and technical solutions to the oil and gas, energy, and industrial sectors. The company specializes in ensuring the integrity, safety, and reliability of industrial equipment and facilities through internationally recognized standards and best practices.

We are recruiting qualified candidate to join our team as a Field Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist Field Engineers, Field Specialists, and Field Supervisors with onshore and offshore field operations.
• Prepare, transport, and organize tools, equipment, and materials required for field activities.
• Support equipment setup, inspection, testing, maintenance, and demobilization activities.
• Load, unload, and handle equipment and materials in accordance with safe work procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Assist in maintaining accurate field records, checklists, inventory logs, and daily activity reports.
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
• Comply with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, risk assessments, and emergency drills.
• Support warehouse and logistics operations when required.
• Assist in mobilizing personnel and equipment to project sites.
• Carry out other field-related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in field operations, engineering support, inspection, maintenance, or industrial services.
• Previous experience in the oil and gas or engineering industry is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of field operations and industrial safety practices.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• HSE Levels 1, 2 & 3, BOSIET and HUET Certificate is an added advantage.
