Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the extent of trauma experienced by individuals.
- Diagnose and identify the specific types of trauma, whether physical or psychological.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients cope with and overcome trauma.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to create a holistic approach to treatment.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients cope with and overcome trauma.
- Offer immediate crisis intervention for individuals who have recently experienced trauma, providing emotional support and coping strategies.
- Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma and the coping mechanisms available to them.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related fields such as psychology, social work, or counseling
- SSCE
- Completing specialized training in trauma-focused therapeutic modalities is beneficial
- Ability to speak Hausa is an added advantage
