HSE & BIOSECURITY SUPERVISOR at Chi Farms Ltd.

Chi Farms Ltd. is an integrated poultry farm with breeding operations and processing of commercial broilers. The company hatches and distributes commercial pullets and broilers. Chi Farms also supplies a wide range of poultry vaccines to the Nigerian poultry sector supported by its own laboratories and veterinary services.

We are seeking experienced and qualified individuals to fill the position of HSE & Biosecurity.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist, support and monitor the implementation of HSE processes and procedure in the poultry.
  • Ensure regular workplace inspection are in compliance with all the applicable legal requirement.
  • Develop and implement Biosecurity protocols, conducting risk assessments, overseeing quarantine procedures Monitoring and enforcing compliance with Biosecurity regulations Coordinating responses to potential outbreaks.
  • Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe condition within area of coverage and report same
  • Ensure timely close-out of all identified unsafe conditions within stipulated timeline.
  • Assist regular inspection, maintenance and testing of all firefighting equipment and appliances available within the farms.
  • Carry out risk assessment of all job processes to detect potential hazards and enforce corrective measures within the farm.
  • Assist in conducting HSE training for employees within the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure all accident is investigated and reports are generated in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements:

  • Maximum Of ND
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience.
  • HSE Qualification is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software
  • Attention to details and commitment to promoting a safety-first culture.
