We are hiring qualified candidates to join our team as an Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer.
Job Summary
You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision, administration, and operational support of Oilserv Group’s ICT infrastructure. This includes work across cloud platforms, on-premise servers, enterprise networks, and supporting SAP systems at first-level BASIS support. The goal is to ensure high availability, security, and performance of infrastructure services, and support service delivery objectives defined by the ICT leadership.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments for availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Manage SAP cloud servers — ensuring uptime, backups, patching, and coordination with BASIS specialists.
- Supervise physical servers (compute/storage/virtualization) with patching, updates, and lifecycle management.
- Conduct regular system health checks, capacity monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Manage enterprise network systems (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers).
- Ensure network security, segmentation, access control, and high availability.
- Troubleshoot network/server incidents and ensure timely resolution.
- Support disaster recovery, backup/recovery processes, and infrastructure documentation.
- Provide first-level SAP BASIS support
- SAP user accounts (create, modify, deactivate)
- Assign roles and authorizations
- Monitor SAP services, work processes, and system availability
- Escalate complex BASIS issues to specialists or external partners.
- Help enforce SAP security and access controls.
- Act as escalation point for infrastructure-related incidents.
- Support Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and document incidents/resolutions per ICT processes.
- Participate in change support for approved infrastructure & SAP changes.
- Ensure security via access control, patching, monitoring, and policy compliance.
- Support vulnerability management and remediation across cloud, server, and network layers.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks.
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases.
- Suggest improvements for automation, reliability, and performance.
- Supervise junior technical staff/ICT support resources where assigned.
- Coach, mentor, and align the team to service delivery goals and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) and server certifications are an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS/Microsoft Azure).
- Experience supporting enterprise networks and physical servers.
- Operational experience with SAP systems and user administration.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- SAP BASIS fundamentals (preferred but not mandatory).
