The Governorship Candidate of National Rescue Movement NRM, Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich has raised an alarm of a fresh onslaught of sponsored campaign of calumny targeted at running his reputation by officials of the Rivers state government.

Sobomabo Jackrich disclosed this during a press briefing in Port Harcourt.

According to him, some people have been contracted to come up with allegations of child molestation and rape against him, feigning that the case has been for a long time.

“The Rivers State Government through a reliable Source has perfected plans to arrest me over allegations of child molestation and rape”

The NRM Governorship candidate revealed that part of the plan is to get him arrested to truncate his participation in the Governorship election.

Sobomabo Jackrich stressed that the plot against him was not unconnected to his stance against the fraudulent subversion of the will of Rivers people in the just concluded February 25th presidential and national assembly elections.

“I am aware that this arrest is to truncate my participation in the Governorship election following my stance against the fraudulent subversion of the will of Rivers people in the just concluded February 25th presidential and national assembly elections.”

He therefore called on all relevant security agencies to investigate the matter with a view to averting the evil plan.

The NRM Guber Candidate also warned those who may want to allow themselves to be used as willing tools to execute the evil plot against him to beware of the long arm of the law, as they should be ready to substantiate the allegations in a competent court of jurisdiction.
