Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities in SNG operations. The role oversees preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with company procedures, industry standards, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines
- Assign daily work activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure effective manpower utilization
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training for maintenance personnel
- Ensure workforce competency, certifications, and compliance with authorization requirements
Maintenance Operations
- Oversee execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
- Monitor equipment condition, reliability, and availability to minimize downtime
- Supervise maintenance of rotating equipment, static equipment, utilities, and support systems
- Support commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and turnaround activities
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and planning teams to schedule maintenance activities

- Review fault notifications, work orders, maintenance plans, job hazard analyses (JHA), and work method statements
- Support spare parts management and ensure availability of critical materials
- Assist in backlog management and maintenance planning
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, LOTO procedures, and confined space regulations
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and company procedures
- Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Review and approve maintenance reports and records
- Track maintenance KPIs, equipment failures, and corrective actions
- Identify improvement opportunities to enhance reliability and maintenance effectiveness
Requirements:
- HND or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5–8 years of maintenance experience in oil and gas or heavy industrial facilities
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Broad knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of maintenance strategies and reliability principles
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- High level of safety awareness and risk management
- Effective communication and coordination skills
Working Conditions
- May require shift work, on-call duty, and emergency response
- Work may be in remote locations
- Exposure to hazardous environments requiring strict safety compliance
