Job Summary:

  • Responsible for hardware (Information Technology Systems) availability, smooth running of software, systems security, data backup, systems update, IT infrastructure maintenance, recommendation on hardware and software and other IT infrastructure purchases, managing network and its resources, general system support etc.
  • Envision the direction of the information technology operation in the organization.
  • Responsible for managing endpoint protection, administering firewalls, overseeing the Microsoft 365 environment, developing and maintaining websites, and creating and enforcing IT policies and documentation.
  • This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a robust background in cybersecurity, IT support, endpoint protection, firewall management, and web development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of all IT Systems, utilizing user access controls, virus protection mechanisms, disk usage, monitoring and performing regular backups.
  • Implement and manage endpoint protection solutions to safeguard devices against malware and other threats.
  • Conduct regular audits of endpoint security policies and configurations.
  • Monitor and respond to endpoint security alerts, ensuring timely remediation.
  • Configure, maintain and monitor firewalls to ensure network security.
  • Implement and manage firewall rules, ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Conduct regular firewall audits and updates to maintain optimal security posture.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft 365 security features, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).
  • Monitor and optimise Microsoft 365 performance and usage and Provide training and support to end-users on Microsoft 365 applications and features.
  • Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the company website using modern web technologies.
  • Ensure the website is secure, user-friendly, and optimised for performance.
  • Implement and manage content management systems (CMS) and plugins.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to update website content and improve user experience.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and end-users.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all current IT systems, including Networking, operating systems, Servers, Websites, PCs, databases telephones, software applications, and peripherals.
  • Project manage the implementation and integration of the planned new SAP system and website updates.
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
  • LAN, WAN, configuration, support and maintenance. Applying operating system updates, patches and configuration changes.
  • Computer care and desktop support: Perform routine audits of system and software Troubleshooting Email, Office Productivity Software and hardware.
  • Monitors plans and coordinates the distribution of clients/server software and server packs.
  • Oversees the inventory of all hardware and software resources & accessories, including CDs, manuals, etc.
  • Perform on-site and remote technical support and maintain and monitor procedures for all server backups.
  • Develop and implement IT emergency and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Testing and evaluating new technology/new applications and then Making recommendations for new equipment and servers and working with various vendors for procurement.
  • Timely execution of smooth flow of system implementation & operations.
  • Administration of maintenance contract.
  • Train staff on new software, equipment usage, skills training, and manage training schedule.
  • Administer and manage the network resource center and access control system.
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and security.
  • Experience in website development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React JS and content management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Other certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, and firewall-specific certifications are highly desirable.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience with network administration and security.
  • Understanding of GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Project Management.
  • Minimum of 11 years relevant experience in Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, Software and Application, Networking, and IT Security in a reputable company (preferably oil and gas).
