The Niger Delta Development Commission is a federal government agency established by former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo in the year 2000, with the sole mandate of developing the oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria

Following the announcement made by the Senate president in Port Harcourt that the federal government will be empowering 10,000 indigenes from the Niger Delta region

As part of her effort to empower the Youths of the Niger Delta region to strengthen human capital development, the Niger Delta Development Commission invites Youths within the age Bracket of 18-45 years to Apply for the 2024 Youths Internship Scheme Program.

Eligibility.

To be eligible for the program, you must be an indigene of the Niger Delta States which includes;

  • Rivers State
  • Bayelsa State
  • Imo State
  • Cross River State
  • Delta State
  • Akwa-Ibom State
  • Edo State
  • Abia State
  • Ondo State.
  • Must be between the Age of 18-45 years.

About the Program:

  • Application is open to all Niger Delta youths (18-45yrs),
  • and admission will be highly competitive.
  • 10,000 youths will be selected as beneficiaries for the first
  • phase.
  • Each beneficiary will select his choice of place for the
  • internship.
  • Each intern will receive a stipend of #50,000.00 for the
  • 12-month period of this phase.
