Responsibilities:
- Provide discipline reviews and inputs for electrical, instrumentation, and related scopes during the design phase of a project.
- Supervise contractors during the execution of projects and ensure all electrical, instrumentation, and related scope of work are delivered following the approved designs, standards, and regulatory provisions.
- Supervise contractors to ensure electrical, instrumentation, and related deliverables are achieved safely in upholding corporate HSE goals and objectives.
- Support supervisor in providing miscellaneous work scope and packages for electrical, instrumentation, metering, and related scopes for facility improvements.
- Support the operations & maintenance teams in the intervention and resolution of facility problems and challenges related to equipment, instruments, and systems within the discipline.
- Support in the development and review of work method statements, JHA, and other relevant documents for the execution of the project within the electrical, instrumentation, and related disciplines.
- Contribute to the department’s annual work program presentation and budget preparations.
- Support Facilities Engineer in providing technical inputs, directions, and recommendations for facility improvements or upgrades.
Accountabilities:
- Support supervisor in ensuring designs and specifications for electrical, instrumentation, metering, and related disciplines conform to Engineering Standards and Regulatory requirements.
- Support supervisor in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, industry codes, health, and safety standards are met during construction.
- Support the supervisor in ensuring that projects and tasks assigned to the function are completed safely, with no variation, on schedule, and without unapproved deviation from project specifications and intentions.
- Compilation and submission of daily progress reports of active projects and other activities within the function.
- Support supervisor in the computation and reporting of progress measurements weekly, showing planned versus actual; S-curves, etc. for major projects and activities assigned to function.
- Identifying; Documenting; Reporting and escalating discipline requirements for the safe and optimal utilization of surface facilities.
- Ensuring that all Engineering and required documents for the facilities are available for the use and reference of facility users.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Sc. or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline and with
- A minimum of 13 years working experience in Oil & Gas Facilities Engineering and Project Management.
Experience & Skills:
- Knowledge of applied engineering principles and practices.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas HSE policies and and practices.
- Knowledge of Industry Regulations and Standards governing the Oil & Gas Facilities.
- Knowledge of oil & gas industry construction standards and codes such as International Electrical Code (IEC), National Electrical Code (NEC), American Petroleum Institute (API), American National Standard Institute (ANSI), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), International Society of Automation (ISA).
- Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering designs, specifications, standards, and code of practices.
