The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria nationals to fill the vacant positions below at the Institute’s headquarters in Ibadan.
1. Media Assurance
Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews for Institutional and official functions.
- Assist with content generation for Tiktok videos.
- Generate and write stories for the institutional newsletters (bulletin and Talking Drums).
- Provide intranet content for the web team.
- Curate posts for the IITA TV social media platforms.
- Provide communication backstopping for exhibitions, events and institutional activities.
- Generate content and produce the AgNovation series for IITA TV.
- Provide support for visitors and guests.
- Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Mass communication, Marketing, Communication and Language Arts or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.
Required Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have good communication skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
- Have excellent reporting skills.
- Have ability to coordinate, prioritize and organize workload.
2. Photography Assistant
Responsibilities
- Assist in taking pictures at events, meetings, institutional activities and other research activities and technologies.
- Assist in editing photos with Light room and Photoshop for use in reports, and content production for all IITA social media.
- Assist in watermarking all IITA photos for use on Flickr and all other platforms.
- Support IITA TV in photographing their branding activities.
- Provide support for Radio IITA on farmer’s Outreach.
- Assist in setting up studio for photoshoot and headshots.
- Assist in archiving photos on Google drive and Flickr.
- Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Mass communication or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.
Required Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have good communication skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
- Have excellent reporting skills.
- Have good photography skills
3. Videography Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Assist in video production of events and meetings and other institutional activities.
- Assist in conducting interviews with scientist, institutional guest and partners, school visits, conference, seminars, VIPs and staff.
- Assist in video production and post production of IITA TV programs
- Provide video production, post production and streaming support for the Radio IITA Farmer’s Outreach.
- Assist in organizing produced video files on GoogleDrive and other platforms.
- Assist Audio Visual team in the setup of equipment for eventsand studio use.
- Edit raw footage using video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Assist in adding subtitles, graphics, to video productions on YouTube or premiere pro.
- Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Mass communication or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.

4. Production Assistant
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with presenters and producers to plan engaging radio programs and segments.
- Record and edit audio content to meet broadcast standards.
- Coordinate with the programming team to ensure timely and seamless delivery of shows.
- Operate and maintain audio equipment, ensuring top-notch sound quality.
- Develop innovative ideas for shows, commercials, and station branding elements.
- Schedule and guide guest appearances, interviews, and live performances.
- Ensure all content aligns with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Evaluate the quality and audience reception of produced programs.
- Assist in training staff on production tools and techniques as needed.
- Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- BSc/HND in Mass communication or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.
Required Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have good editing skills
- Have good news and programming skills and must be good at content generation.
- Have equipment handling and studio maintenance abilities.
