The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it is investigating thousands of Permanent Voters Cards discovered inside a drainage at Apa-Ogwu Estate in Rumuodara.

The commission said it would make its position known after it concludes an ongoing investigation. It followed an online video by a man who found the bag of PVCs.

Our correspondent who visited the area this morning in an interview a resident of the estate, Samuel Osondu, who said the cards were found on Wednesday morning during the cleaning of the estate’s drainage. He said the cards showed registration areas such as Iriebe and Rumuokoro, all under the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area.
