Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment using welding techniques.
  • Ensure the structural integrity and precision of all welding tasks.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards during welding operations to support organizational efficiency and compliance.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Perform welding operations using tools such as arc welders, MIG/TIG welders, and gas torches.
  • Inspect and assess materials, ensuring they meet specifications before welding.
  • Set up and operate welding machines, adjusting settings as necessary for precision.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance of metal structures and equipment.
  • Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards through inspections and testing.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and industry safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of welding tools and machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
  • Document completed work and submit reports to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical or vocational welding program is preferred.
  • Certification in welding (e.g., AWS or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • 2-4 years of welding experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Commitment to safety standards and procedures
