QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Professor
Applicants should possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field and must have been in the position of a Reader for a minimum of three years in a recognized University. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to initiate, develop and supervise research, capacity for academic leadership and a good record of scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals. Registration with relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
ii. Reader/Deputy Librarian
Applicants should possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field and must have been in the position of a Senior Lecturer/Senior Librarian for a minimum of three years in a recognized University. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to initiate, develop and supervise research, capacity for academic leadership and a good record of scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals. Registration with relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
iii. Senior Lecturer/Senior Librarian
Applicants should possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field plus a minimum of six (6) years post qualification experience in teaching (for Senior Lecturer) and research in a recognized University, as well as sufficient scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals.
iv. Lecturer I/Librarian I
Applicants are expected to possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field plus a minimum of three (3) years post doctoral work experience in teaching (for Lecturer I) and research in a recognized University, as well as scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals. Holders of Masters Degree must have a minimum of six(6) years post Masters work experience in teaching (for Lecturer I) and research in a recognized University, as well as sufficient scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals.
v. Lecturer II/Librarian II
Applicants are expected to possess a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field. Holders of Masters Degree must have a minimum of three(3) years post Masters work experience in teaching (for Lecturer II) and research in a recognized University, as well as scholarly publications in relevant peer reviewed journals.
vi. Assistant Lecturer
Applicants must have a Masters Degree in the relevant field.
