Call for Applications: 2025 Heirs Energy Limited Scholarship Scheme (OML 17)

Heirs Oil & Gas is Africa’s largest, indigenous owned, oil and gas company, headquartered in Nigeria and led by a board and management team with significant regional and global experience in production, exploration, and value creation in the resources sector. Heirs Oil & Gas is the sole operator of OML 17, in Nigeria’s Niger Delta.

About the Scholarship Award

The OML 17 Heirs of Tomorrow Scholarship Scheme (HOTSS) is a transformative educational support initiative driven by Heirs Energies and its Host Community Development Trust (HCDT). It aims to empower talented and underprivileged indigenes of the OML 17 host communities through equitable access to tertiary education.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, Applicants must;

• Must be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and an indigene of any of the OML 17 Host Communities as listed below:
  • OYIGBO
  • IKWERRE
  • OBIO/AKPOR
  • Etche

Requirements;

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Nigerian federal or state-owned university for an undergraduate program.
• Must possess at least five O-Level credits including Mathematics and English, in WASC, SSCE or NECO in ONE sitting.
• Must be a certified full-time student
• Must be able to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5.0 scale (or 2.5 on a 4.0 scale) in every academic year throughout the scholarship period.
• Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from any other organization.
• Must provide a valid identification letter from the applicable host community.
